This industrial park parking lot is usually filled with black Suburbans, so I assumed it was some federal agency’s maintenance/storage facility (lot is 15-20 miles outside of DC). They’ve been there for years, and I don’t give them a second look.
Today, I was passing though and saw something unusual, and stopped by for a look.
It was the snorkles that caught my eye, but it was the trucks they were attached to that I found interesting.
Is this a LX 76?
And wait, it’s RHD
Wait, there’s more. A bunch of GXs
They’re all RHD.
There had to be at least 10-15 of them, and they all looked brand-new. I’m curious what agency would need to have these in their inventory, and why? I realize we do business in many countries that drive on the left side of the road, but why store them here?

From the looks of things, they were probably shipped over to be armored/

Ah, so maybe that’s why all those Suburbans are there. Might be a contractor.

Yeah, look at the suburban, and LC windows, they are probably ready to be shipped back to wherever they came from.

My best guess would be that they are owned by the United Nations and as mbw said, here to get armored.

It took three pics before I realized these weren’t one of your “Shops”.
That’s some nice upfitting!

Yep. Confirmed by the darker frame surrounds and flatter glass.
So with that being said, I’d take an unarmored 2500 Suburban and add a duramax please.
Thanks.
